Our philosophy of education is that children and their families benefit from a small, peaceful, high quality preschool program. We believe that there is a critical link between a child’s early experiences and later success in life. The program is based on strong research-based evidence that children learn best by being active participants in their world through play. Opportunities are provided to expose children to many different areas. In order to facilitate the learning process, the classrooms are divided into different learning centers such as art, books, science, dramatic play, music, blocks, puzzles and manipulatives, and sand and water play. Through these hands-on learning experiences, children are able to construct knowledge about their world and how it works.  This open-ended, play-based learning also contributes to your child/children’s creative development.

Emergent literacy and phonics instruction is also very important in the early childhood experience.  Therefore, we will provide a print-rich, language-rich classroom environment for your child/children. We will also endeavor to assist you in providing the same important emergent literacy experiences at home.  Together, we can help your child/children develop a life-long love for reading and writing.  

Finally, Faith Roots Preschool is an outreach of a Christian ministry to children and families called Zoe Kids Ministries.  As part of our organization’s overall mission, we will seek to facilitate your child/children’s faith development from a non-denominational perspective.
