1

Day 1

our arrival in Tel Aviv, we will be met by staff who will welcome and assist us at the airport. From the airport we continue to Caesarea Maritima which was built by Herod the Great around 20 AD. Here the Apostle Paul was imprisoned for two years until he was sent to be judged in Rome. We will stop at the Crusader Fortress and the Roman Amphitheater. We will drive to our hotel in Nazareth, where we will check in, have a good dinner and settle in for our first night in the Holy Land.

Day 2

After our first breakfast in Israel, we will visit Caesarea Philippi, the place where Jesus made the statement “on this Rock I will build my Church”. We will continue to Galilee where we will sail on a boat on the Sea of Galilee, after which we will go to Capernaum and visit the ruins of the synagogue established there and the Byzantine Chapel erected on the site of the Apostle Peter’s House. Next, we will visit Tabga, the site where Jesus performed the multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the Mount of Beatitudes. In the afternoon we will go to the Jordan River, where those who wish can renew their baptismal vows in the same place where Jesus was baptized, and receive a certificate commemorating the ceremony. We will then return to the hotel for dinner and to share the day’s adventures. We will spend another night at the hotel in Nazareth.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will begin our day by going to Cana in Galilee, the place where Jesus performed the first miracle by turning water into wine. For those who wish to do so, we will have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows. We will then visit the city of Nazareth, where we will visit the church of the Annunciation. We will leave for Megiddo to visit the excavations of the tunnel and the place where several key battles took place. It is mentioned in Revelation where the battle of Armageddon is mentioned (Revelation 16:16). Once again we will return to our hotel in Nazareth for dinner and rest.

Day 4

Arrival at the border of Sheikh Hussein Jordanian side. Meeting and assistance, departure to the city of Jerash or “Gerasa”, a Greco-Roman city and one of the cities of Decapolis and known as the “Pompeii of the East” for its importance and its magnificent state of preservation. Jerash is located north of Amman, approximately 45 km and one hour away by road. During the excursion, we will visit the Triumphal Arch, the Oval Square, Hadrian’s Gate, the Hippodrome, the Cardo Maximus, the Colonnade, the Temple of Aphrodite, Zeus and Artemis and ending at the Roman Theater, with wonderful acoustics. From there we will depart to the hotel in Petra, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 5

Breakfast. Departure to Petra to spend a full day dedicated to the visit of the pink city, the capital of the Nabataeans. During the visit, we will visit the most important monuments carved into the rock by the Nabataeans. The Treasury, famous and internationally known monument taken to the movies in one of the Indiana Jones films, the Tombs of Colors, the Royal Tombs, etc.. Petra is one of those places in the world where you have to go at least once in your life. At the end of the visit, transfer to the hotel in Amman, dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Early in the morning, we will visit Amman, one of the oldest cities in the world and capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Amman is a mix of modernity and tradition, a pleasant and welcoming city where you will appreciate the hospitality of its people and enjoy its lively markets and the many traces left by its long history. Continue to Mount Nebo to admire the panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from the mountain. This place is important because it was the last place visited by Moses and from where the prophet saw the Promised Land, which he would never reach. End of the visit. Then departure to the Dead Sea, descending to almost 400 meters below sea level, its salinity and mineral offer healing possibilities for different diseases where we can enjoy a bath. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Early in the morning, after breakfast, and with our luggage, we will cross the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby) to cross back to Israel. There we will meet our Israeli guide inside the terminal. We depart through the Judean Desert to Jericho, the oldest inhabited city in the world dating back some 10,000 years. Jericho and its surroundings are full of religious, archaeological and natural treasures. We visit the Sycamore tree, from where Zacchaeus saw Jesus pass by; we will go to the spring of Elisha, and ascend by funicular to the Mount of Temptations, where Jesus was put to the test by the Devil; this will be another place of deep spiritual significance; there we will visit the Greek Orthodox Monastery on top of the Mount. After buying souvenirs for our loved ones, we will continue to Qumran, where the famous “Dead Sea Scrolls” were found and learn about the life of the Essenes, who lived a life very similar to the life and ideas of Jesus and his disciples. It is quite possible that John the Baptist spent time with this community. Our next stop will be Qalia Beach, a beach on the shores of the Dead Sea, the sea which is 600 meters below sea level, a place rich in minerals, we will have time to go into the sea to refresh ourselves. From there we will be transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and rest.
